IRB-HSBS Education
The IRB-HSBS education program offers several remote learning opportunities for faculty, staff, and students from the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses including our general education series (see the schedule and register online). If you are unable to join us on Zoom for a general education session, or you would like information on other topics related to the conduct of human research, IRB-HSBS staff can provide virtual presentations that are tailored to the needs of your group or class. Please contact the IRB-HSBS office at (734) 936-0933 or [email protected] to learn more. Researchers who prefer to discuss their specific projects, ask questions, and get help on an individual basis may schedule a video conference with IRB staff. Additionally, the University of Michigan IRB Collaborative (U-MIC) offers brief recorded presentations online that address U-M IRB processes and procedures.
eResearch Assistance for Investigators with Visual or Other Impairments
Completing the eResearch application can be challenging for investigators who experience visual or other impairments. Li Morrow ([email protected]), of the IRB-HSBS team, is available to assist individuals with the application process.
UMOR DEI Committee
As part of the institution’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), many academic, research, and auxiliary units across campus have established overarching planning groups or committees. The UMOR DEI Committee is made up of a cross-section of representatives from U-M Office of Research units who meet regularly to create and manage annual plans and reports around DEI efforts, discuss DEI programs and resources, and consult on DEI issues and follow-up. If you have any DEI related questions, concerns, issues, or ideas about UMOR operations, please contact that UMOR DEI Committee at [email protected].
